Details on our most popular systems are listed below. For prices, please contact us with your vehicle details and requirements.

Benefits & Features:

Avoid Accidents and Collisions

Parking sensors are designed to detect obstacles and potential hazards, allowing you to manoeuvre your vehicle with confidence and precision. By providing audible or visual alerts, these systems help you avoid accidents, scrapes, and collisions with objects or other vehicles. Say goodbye to parking-related mishaps and protect your vehicle from unnecessary damage.

Improved Safety and Convenience

Parking sensors greatly enhance the safety and convenience of parking your vehicle. With precise detection capabilities, they assist you in navigating tight spaces, parallel parking, or reversing in crowded areas. The real-time alerts enable you to make informed decisions and adjust your manoeuvres accordingly, reducing the risk of accidents and increasing overall safety.

Rear Parking Sensors

All our parking sensors systems utilise ultrasonic technology. The eyes sense the proximity of an object up to approximately 1.5 meters away from the rear of the vehicle and compute the exact position of the object.

Our rear parking sensors are automatically activated when reverse gear is selected. An OEM sounding audible indication is given every time the sensors are selected to inform that that they are working.

Different audible indications are given depending on how close to the object your vehicle is. The further away the vehicle is, the slower the beep. The first warning zone begins at approx. 1.2 metres with a slow audible beep and becomes progressively quicker and shorter as the vehicle moves closer to an object. When the rapid audible warning beep changes to a constant tone, the vehicle is at a distance of approx. 0.45 metres indicating that you should stop.

Our parking sensors can also be programmed to ignore fixed objects on the vehicle, including towbars, spare wheels and bike racks.

All our parking sensors are colour coded in-house to match the vehicles bumper for a seamless installation. All you need to do is give us your vehicle registration, we will source your paint code and the sensors will be painted prior to installation.

We offer two options for rear parking sensors:

Options 1: Standard push fit

Our standard sensors can be installed as a 2 or 4 sensor kit. These sensors are installed in a 19mm hole, with the visible diameter of the sensor head being 21.7mm. These are very neat sensors offering the following features; full rear coverage of the vehicle, 5-stage audible warning buzzer with the option of adding a visual display, heavy rainproof, all-weather design (-40°C>+80°C), anti-false alarm patent and Display can be added.

Option 2: Flush fitted sensors

For a superior manufacturer style finish, we also offer a totally flush mounted sensor system. Our flush mount sensors are installed as a 2 or 4 sensor kit and are colour coded to match the vehicle. These 17mm sensors sit in a 17mm hole with no overlap or protrude giving an OE finish.

Front Parking Sensors

We fit both standard and flush fitted parking sensors to the front of the vehicle, as described above.  We will fit the most appropriate sensors, taking account of bodywork shape, OE positions, grilles and crash bar.  The bumper is removed for assessment of sensor location and installation.

Front parking sensors are activated when the foot brake is depressed, or when reverse gear is selected (for parallel parking). The sensors will activate for 8 seconds. If no obstruction is picked up by the eyes, the sensors will automatically switch off. If an obstruction is picked up, the sensors will remain activated and give the audible tones describe above. A switch is also fitted in a discreet location so the system can be over-ridden if necessary.

We also offer an optional CAN module.  This activates the parking sensors automatically when the speed is below 6mph.

OEM Optical Parking Sensors

We can retrofit the original OPS Optical Park Pilot System on the front and back of most Audi, Skoda, VW, Seat and Cupra vehicles.

The optical display is shown on the factory head unit screen. Depending upon closeness of the obstacle the respective range changes optically with the well-known acoustic support.

Genuine sensors, looms, modules and switches are used in the installation so the parking sensors will operate exactly as if they had been factory fitted. As we are a VWG UK Independent Dealer, coding is completed using ODIS-Online, VW genuine diagnostics.

Sensors are colour coded to match the vehicle where necessary.

FAQs

Can you fit then on electric/hybrid vehicles?

Yes!  We can fit parking sensors to any vehicle, including hybrid and electric.

Will the sensors be optical and audible?

This depends on the car.  We can retrofit genuine sensors to Audi, Volkswagen, Skoda, Seat and Cupra vehicles which will give you optical (a picture of the sensors on the infotainment system) and an audible tone. Our aftermarket parking sensors are audible, but you can add a visual LED display if required. This would be fitted on the dash or rear headlining, depending on whether you are having front or rear parking sensors fitted.

Can the sensors display on my OE screen?

We can retrofit genuine sensors to Audi, Volkswagen, Skoda, Seat and Cupra vehicles which will give you optical (a picture of the sensors on the infotainment system) and an audible tone.

Will the sensors be colour coded?

Yes! We will need your registration to obtain the paint code for your vehicle and the parking sensors will be colour coded in house ready for installation.  All sensors are painted in our professional spray booth using three stages – plastic primer, your vehicle colour and then clear lacquer.

Will the sensors go in the same place as if they were factory installed?

If we are retrofitting genuine parking sensirs, they will be fitted in factory locations in the bumper or grille.  Our aftermarket sensors will be fitted in the most appropriate location to give you the best possible coverage, taking into account bumper contours and suitable distances.

Can I still take my vehicle through a car wash?

Yes, you can still use a car wash.  It is recommended that you do not wash the sensors with high pressure or too much force so you need to be careful if using a pressure washer to clean your car.

Do you only fit rear sensors?

Parking sensors can be fitted to both the front and rear of most cars, vans and motorhomes.

Can I still fit sensors even if I have a reverse camera?

Yes! Many cars now come with a reversing camera but no parking sensors. It is popular to add the sensors so you have the audible ‘beep’ as well as the picture from the camera.

What’s best, a reverse camera or rear parking sensors?

This really depends on personal preference. A camera lets you see a live image of what is behind you which can be particularly helpful when reversing out of tight spaces.  Parking sensors are idea for getting into tight spaces as their tones let you know the distance between the car and the object.  The constant tone warns you exactly when you need to stop.

Can I switch the sensors off?

Rear parking sensors are switched on and off with reverse gear.  Front sensors are triggered by brake and reverse but can be switched off if required.  We install a small switch in a convenient location during the install.

What makes the sensors alarm?

Parking sensors are an ultrasonic distance monitoring device which electronically detect the area in front or behind your vehicle using ultrasonic sound waves.

Will it affect my warranty?

There is no reason fitting parking sensors should affect your warranty but it is worth checking with your manufacturer if you are concerned.  Our parts and labour are guaranteed so in the unlikely event that an issue should arise with the parking sensors, you can rest assured.

How long is the guarantee?

Our parking sensor kits carry a 5 year parts warranty

How long does it take to fit?

Rear parking sensors usually take between 1.5 and 3 hours to install, front parking sensors are around 3-4 hours.  Front and rear sensors can be fitted in a day.

Can I fit myself?

Fitting parking sensors involves drilling your bumper and making electrical connections.  We don’t recommend this as a DIY installation, although we have seen a few!

Do I need to inform the insurance company?

Anything you change on your car is classed as a modification and you should make your insurance company aware.
