What is ECU remapping? ecu remapping cheltenham

Using the latest technology from Byteshooter, CMD Technologies and Alientech, we can remap the ECU of most post-1999 vehicles, including cars, commercial vehicles, motorhomes and agricultural vehicles. Petrol and diesel vehicles can be modified but diesel engines offer the best results. Our state-of-the-art software will even modify the latest tricore ecu's.

In simple terms, the ECU contains a circuit board of electronic chips which control the way in which the engine behaves. Remapping these chips can therefore alter functions such as ignition, fuelling and turbo boost, chaning their response and behaviour, ensuring that each performs to its optimum.

This is the most important factor for most people today as the cost of fuel keeps on rising. We have a good relationship with our local car dealerships and much of our work is carried out on brand new vehicles. For retail customers, we have premises which are within easy reach of the M5 with workshops, a waiting area, small shop and demo vehicle. We also have a courtesy car available if required.

Most remaps can be done whilst you wait but it may be necessary to keep some vehicles for longer. We also offer a mobile service for ecu remapping in some areas, including Cheltenham, Gloucester, Stroud, Cirencester, Evesham, Swindon, Hereford and Worcester.

Importantly, we keep all your original mapping data in case you would like to return the car to standard at any time (for example, if you sell the vehicle). We offer this service free of charge.
